Most face washes sit at pH 9 or 10, which is why skin feels tight afterwards and why it overproduces oil by lunchtime. This one sits at 5.0–6.0, the same as healthy skin, and a mild dose of betaine salicylate keeps pores clear without exfoliating hard enough to need a rest day. Tea tree oil handles congestion.
